Q: What type of government and enterprise organizations do you work with?

We are working with all types of organizations here in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) – government agencies, ministries, development funds and banks, tourism, culture, transportation, finance, telecom, and energy. These range in size from enterprise agencies to medium agencies.

The changes and adaptations required by KSA vision 2030 and the digital transformation projects that the KSA government is driving means that all the government agencies are looking for the latest technology to align with the vision. The government drive for KSA vision 2023 means that all government entities regardless of size need to align with the associated transformation initiatives and so we are working across the full range of government organizations from the smallest to the largest.

Q: What technologies are these types of organizations currently adopting?

There are certain types of technologies that the KSA government vision focuses on, important priorities are Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics & Automation, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain and Big Data.

Within the private sector, we see demand for a diverse range of technologies including Citrix, VMware, Microsoft 365, Oracle, Alibaba and AWS.

Q: Do you specialize in on-prem or cloud technologies?

We currently specialize primarily in on-prem technologies owing to government regulations. In KSA regulations require that if any government entity moves to cloud, the hosting cloud must be hosted on KSA and NOT outside. These data localization requirements have driven many local companies to start to have their own cloud setups. Large international names have also started opening new cloud nodes in KSA to meet demand within the compliance requirements. Q: What are CSC’s differentiating strengths?

Q: Have you seen any trends or changes in what customers seek from monitoring tools?

The KSA market is changing and growing rapidly, organizations are looking to adopt the latest modern technologies. This drives us as a supplier to be continually searching for better and innovative technologies.

In order to satisfy this demand, we recently arrange the first ever Observability Event (Observability Day) in Saudi Arabia to introduce Observability, explain it, and to explain why it is important? We believe the market need to understand Observability and its benefits.

We trust that Saudi market will align with Observability quickly and in the near future, and we need to be ready for it.

We were delighted to join CSC in Riyadh in August 2023 at their first Observability Day, sharing the stage with observability partners such as VIAVI and Motadata.
