Monitoring Citrix Cloud Connector - Linux

eG Enterprise monitors the Cloud Connector appliance using a specialized monitoring model and reports its availability, responsiveness and network connectivity (see Figure 1).

Each layer of Figure 1 is mapped to tests that report on the availability and responsiveness. With the help of the statistics so reported, administrators can quickly find answers to the following performance queries:

• Is the Connector Appliance available? If so, how quickly does the cloud respond to user requests?
• How many days are left for the SSL certificate to expire?
• Is network connectivity available to the Connector Appliance?

The HTTP and SSL Certificate tests mapped to the Web Server layer are explained in the Monitoring Apache Web Server document. The Network test mapped to the Network layer is detailed in the Monitoring Unix and Windows Servers document.
