Monitoring Swift AMH Cluster

The eG agent periodically executes tests on the SWIFT AMH cluster, collects the necessary statistics, and reports them to the eG manager. These tests are mapped to specific layers of the SWIFT AMH cluster layer model (see Figure 1).

Using the metrics reported, administrators can quickly find accurate answers for the following performance questions:

  • How many nodes are running optimally from system load point of view?

  • How many nodes are running on JBoss server?

  • Has the connectivity been established with the nodes running JBoss?

  • Does all the nodes have network connectivity?

  • Did more number of logical nodes fail?

  • Are there any physical nodes which are not running any logical nodes?

  • Is the current logical cluster running?

  • Are majority of logical nodes in the current logical cluster running?

  • Are there a very high number of degraded nodes in logical cluster?

  • What is the current status of each physical cluster?

  • Are majority of physical nodes in the current physical cluster are running?

  • Are there a very high number of degraded nodes in physical cluster?

  • How many logical nodes are running in each physical cluster?

  • Are there good number of logical nodes running in logical cluster?
