-
Select the RUM collectors options from the Miscellaneous tile of the Admin tile menu.
- Figure 1 will then appear listing the collectors that pre-exist.

- The eG manager is bundled with a default RUM collector. By default, this default collector will be listed in Figure 1. You can neither modify the details of this collector, nor delete it.
- To add a new collector, click the Add New Collector button in Figure 1.
-
Figure 2 then appears. In the Nick Name text box of Figure 2, provide a unique name for the new collector. Then, specify the Public URL of the RUM collector. Optionally, you can also provide a Private URL for the RUM collector.

Note:
A private URL is mandatory in the following situations:
-
If the web site/web application being managed receives requests from users within a private network; in this case, the browsers used by these intranet users will be able to communicate user experience metrics to the RUM collector, only if the collector is configured with a private URL.
-
If the remote agent monitoring the web site/web application is deployed in a private network; without a private URL, this remote agent will not be able to poll the collector for metrics.

Finally, click the Add button in Figure 2 to add the new collector.
